Maddison Powell

Your Musical Influences:

My influences are AC/DC , Led Zeppelin , The Beatles, Muddy Waters , Chuck Berry , Jackie Wilson , Metallica , CCR , Hendrix , The Who , Jefferson AIrplane pretty much like all types of music but I believe music has better clarity on a vinyl record.

What type of Guitar and Amp you own?

I have a few guitars acoustic/classical and electric, but my favourite is my harlem electric guitar with Aussie art work. I also have a Fender Frontman Amp.

What type of equipment would you like to have?

At the moment I'm quite happy playing my guitar, but who knows what might happen down the track.

How long have you been playing the guitar?

I got my first guitar when I was in first year high school, I stopped playing for a while back then, but I have picked it back up again and don’t intend putting it down ever again.

Your Bio:

I’m 18 years old and I spend most my time and money on music. I collect AC/DC memorabilia and I also love to collect vinyls. I am really enjoying my lessons here with Zane, as he has encouraged me and taught me so much in the past few months.

Your musical ambitions and goals:

At this point in time I just want to be the best I can be at playing my guitar, and then just see where it takes me from there.

Zanes Comments:
Congratulations Maddison on becoming Guitarist of the Month, you are definitely displaying much potential to become a very good rock guitarist. Some of the key attributes to becoming a great guitarist is passion, enthusiasm, dedication and discipline, to which you are ticking all of these boxes.
Maddison has been coming to Zane’s Guitar Tuition for the past few months and has since made many vast and varied improvements to her guitar playing during this time.
Having gained a good knowledge of the ‘Pentatonic Modes’ and key positions, she is applying herself to the more complex technical scale modes and sequences that come from this. The main object and goal to learning any instrument is to just have fun with what you are doing, and the rest will come naturally.

Keep On Rockin'
